Sarah Scott, Principal Designer & Owner

I grew up in Oak Park, Illinois. My parents, Tim and Trudy Scott are artists, and as a child I was always fascinated with their paintings, drawings, and artistic creations. During college, my creative spirit was focused on literature and writing, but I also enjoyed art classes and drawing in my free time, and I interned for a summer at my father's firm. After graduation in 1993, I bought my first Mac, and I started working part time for my father's graphic design firm, studying Adobe software products and exploring the elements and priciples of graphic design. My passion is creating simple, efficient and clean designs that reflect a company's products and environment.

In 2000, I moved to the Shenandoah Valley to work full time for my dad as a graphic designer. We opened up a sign studio in 2005, Econocolor Signs and Graphics. Tim retired in 2009, and I created ORYX Designs. ORYX Designs is a graphic design and sign studio located in Waynesboro, Virginia.
